INFU – Innovation Futures

Last Wednesday we hosted and facilitated a visioning workshop in partnership with INFU Foresight exercise in Berlin. We invited an interdisciplinary team of 15 experts on different topics to elaborate the question: “What could innovation camps look like in 2030?”

It was a very inspiring and interesting day with lots of new ideas and visionary thoughts.

To give you first impressions we have some pictures and a short video for you and in a few days we will share the aggregated results and a visual recording by Christoph Kellner.

Thanks a lot to Frauenhofer Institute for the great opportunity, all the participants for their creativity, Laurent Hoffmann and Christoph Kellner for documenting the whole event and Direktorenhaus for the inspiring location.

The INFU Foresight exercise is an EU funded project incl. Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research and Z_punkt aiming to explore innovation patterns and to develop scenarios of future innovation landscapes. They screened the web for “weak signals” concerning possible “innovation futures” and amongst the ~100 identified examples they found: us. These weak signals were nailed down to 19 “future innovation scenarios” – one of them being the “innovation camps” –  and in a survey “experts” decided that this very scenario has great potential to be one of the key methods to trigger innovation in the future. We feel honored that there also seems to be scientific interest in what we are doing.
